GRAY HUANG
Gray Lianghui Huang (Cantonese: Gray Wong Leung-fai) is a transdisciplinary artist-scholar based in upstate New York. He is currently a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at Binghamton University, State University of New York (SUNY). His research explores queer cinema & TV, queer Asian literary & cultural studies, sound & voice studies, performance studies, film phenomenology, and queer digital humanities. His scholarly work has appeared or is forthcoming in Queer Studies in Media & Popular Culture and the Journal of Interdisciplinary Voice Studies.
He is also a jazz vocalist and multilingual singer-songwriter (Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and French). As a reality TV talent show winner and finalist, he has performed in major Chinese TV singing shows Come Sing With Me III and The Coming One II. His performances span across New York, Hong Kong SAR, mainland China, and Vietnam.
